The process of taking a slab of stone or a sheet of solid surface and fabricating it into beautiful countertops is a bit of a mystery to most people, so we want to walk you through the process from start to finish so that you know what to expect when you commission Leading Edge Countertops.
What We Do
Selecting
Making selections can be overwhelming. based on your use, your color palette and your taste, we will help you select the perfect material and color for your new countertops.
Measuring / Templating
Before we do any cutting of your material we measure and or template your countertops to ensure that we make them the exact size that are needed for your base cabinets.
Fabrication
This is where our craftsmen cut, miter, glue, and assemble your countertops to the specifications of the design.
Selection
Join us in Syracuse (between Goshen and Warsaw) to see firsthand the material selection available for your project. Our Stone and Solid Surface Specialist can guide you through the types of material we offer, color selections, layout, and sink options for your project. If this is a new home construction, bring your plans with you. If this is a remodel and you don’t have plans, we suggest bringing with you rough measurements as well as photos of the area. Once the material has been selected, an estimate for your project will be provided, and with a 50% deposit, your project will be on the books.

Templating
During the template stage, one of our specialist will visit your project site to take custom measurements/drawings.
Wide Open Spaces and Options
During this on-site visit it is important to remove everything from the project area and be available to discuss edge profiles, radius, seam options and overhang.

Fabrication
We STRONGLY recommend that if the material you have chosen has any pattern, movement or direction that you view the placement of the template on the material to ensure that we have captured what you envisioned.
The Result!
Time Frame
A short 10-15 days after your project with Leading Edge has begun your tops will arrive at your project location.
Existing Countertops
If you have existing countertops we can remove and dispose of them.
Lastly...
We do request that your faucet is present during installation so we may drill any necessary holes. Our installation specialist are skilled in the art of stone and solid surface fabrication, unfortunately they are not plumbers, so we do ask that any plumbing be arranged outside of Leading Edge. Typical services that you would need to have contracted separately are; gas line disconnects/reconnects, sink/faucet connection and installation of drop-in and vessel bowl sinks.
